Windows corrupted beyond repair? Rebuild it without losing your files or programs
This is the one thing nothing else does. When Windows is so broken it won't repair — or the Windows folder is literally gone — every normal option makes you lose everything. Do my programs really come back?
Yes. If Windows was only corrupt, your programs are kept as they were. If a program was damaged along with Windows, Rescue reinstalls it for you and keeps the settings that can be carried over. Either way you end up with your programs working — not a blank machine to set up from scratch.
Will I lose my files?
No. Your files and user accounts are kept in place — Rescue rebuilds Windows around them and never overwrites your data.
What about app settings and logins?
App data stored in your user folders comes back with your files. Settings kept only inside the old Windows registry may need a quick re-sign-in, since that part of Windows was gone. It's the difference between “reinstalled and ready” and “set up from a blank PC.”
Which Windows versions?
Windows 10 and 11. Rescue runs from the USB, outside the broken install, so it works even when there's nothing left to boot.
