Windows corrupted beyond repair? Rebuild it without losing your files or programs

This is the one thing nothing else does. When Windows is so broken it won't repair — or the Windows folder is literally gone — every normal option makes you lose everything. Rescue rebuilds a working Windows around what's already on the drive: your files and accounts stay in place, and your programs get reinstalled from your own list. No wipe, no starting from scratch.

What you're facing

  • Corruption so bad Windows won't even try to repair itself
  • The C:\Windows folder deleted or gutted (a bad cleanup, a failed update, malware)
  • A failed feature update that left nothing to boot
  • You've been told your only option is a clean reinstall — and to kiss your files and programs goodbye

Why every other option makes you lose everything

  • Reset this PC / clean reinstall — wipes your files and your programs. You start from a blank machine.
  • Restore from a backup image — only works if you made one before it broke. Most people didn't, and it reverts you to that old snapshot anyway.
  • A repair shop — can recover your files, but then hands you a blank Windows to set up from scratch — after days and a few hundred dollars.

That's the gap. When the operating system itself is gone, the usual tools can save your files or give you a working PC — but not both, and never your programs.

⚡ How Rightek Rescue does it — the only tool that does

Boot the PC from the Rescue USB and choose Rebuild / Fix My PC. Rescue:

  • Lays down a fresh, working Windows in place — right around your existing data, not over it.
  • Keeps your files and user accounts exactly where they are.
  • Restores your programs too — and if a program was damaged along with Windows, Rescue reinstalls it for you and keeps the program settings that can be carried over.

The result: a clean, working Windows — with your files, your accounts, and your programs back — instead of a blank machine. A normal reinstall would have wiped all three.

FAQ

Do my programs really come back?

Yes. If Windows was only corrupt, your programs are kept as they were. If a program was damaged along with Windows, Rescue reinstalls it for you and keeps the settings that can be carried over. Either way you end up with your programs working — not a blank machine to set up from scratch.

Will I lose my files?

No. Your files and user accounts are kept in place — Rescue rebuilds Windows around them and never overwrites your data.

What about app settings and logins?

App data stored in your user folders comes back with your files. Settings kept only inside the old Windows registry may need a quick re-sign-in, since that part of Windows was gone. It's the difference between “reinstalled and ready” and “set up from a blank PC.”

Which Windows versions?

Windows 10 and 11. Rescue runs from the USB, outside the broken install, so it works even when there's nothing left to boot.
